Shows, Concerts, and Packing

Since the last time I wrote we have had some great performances, and I'd like to tell you about a few of them.

Saturday, January 20th-Grenada Community Berean Church, Grenada, California
This was a benefit concert for a girl who was going on a tour with a young singing group. This was a lovely evening, with wonderful food, people, and room acoustics. Let me tell you...this was some of the best sound we have had in a long while. We had played for 80 minutes, but we could have played all night! Yeah for good sound! If you don't know where Grenada is, don't worry. We didn't know either. It's real close to Yreka, CA. So..if you know where that is..you are really close. :)

Saturday, January 27th- Oregon State Bluegrass Gospel Show, The Rose Theater, Roseburg, Oregon
This place was so beautiful! We were privileged to play with two other wonderful bands, and it was a great night. They gave us cookies too. People who feed us are our lifelong friends. Especially if the cookies are snickerdoodles and chocolate chip-but we aren't picky.

Christina always comments on how we three younger girls always bring "so much luggage" to a performance. You see, Christina can fit all her performing clothes in a little bag. It's only a little bit bigger then a Ziplock baggy. And she can even fit her boots and guitar in there. Ok, well, maybe not the guitar, but she does fit her boots in there. How does she do it? Natalie, Steph, and I wheel in our roller luggage bags, hand bags, and water bottles, while lugging in our instruments too. We need roadies. Or we need to learn to pack like Christina. Either way. But, you never know what you'll need when hanging out before a show. I mean, 3 books just will not be enough. And you never know which pair of shoes you'll feel like wearing. So, you have to bring 3 pairs. Plus, the sneakers you wore in the van. That makes for 4 pairs of shoes for a 2 hour show. Hmm...makes sense, right? :)

The moral of this post is that everybody needs to learn to pack like my sister.
